American actor and musician Awkwafina debuted with sly rap tracks that tackled sexual identity and race with a boldly comedic perspective before expanding her reach into Hollywood. Nora Lum is the daughter of Chinese and Korean parents from Forest Hills Queens. The trumpet was the first instrument she played for her.
