Antonia Lofaso

Chef Antonia Lofaso's food is an opportunity to delve into deep into her interior world. Her curiosity grew as she left her home in the Long Island suburbs to explore the rich cultural diversity of Los Angeles. The belief in the idea that cavatelli and carnitas can co-exist in harmony on a single menu portrays a style that is constantly evolving. However, what is consistent with her food is a singular vision towards the future, while also reminiscing about the past. Scopa Italian Roots opened its doors in the year 2013 and quickly became popular. Lofaso has been praised for her unique interpretation of Italian cuisine. Patrons have described Scopa as an indispensable neighbourhood staple, where Lofaso always provides food that is authentic and undeniably satiating. Lofaso learned from culinary giants with sophisticated cooking techniques. However, she did not fear taking extraordinary risk to follow her instincts. She worked with a variety of famous people and quickly rose through the ranks in Wolfgang Puck's Spago. In the year 2011, Lofaso partnered along with Sal Aurora and Mario Guddemi to launch Black Market Liquor Bar in Studio City. The Lofaso had found a home in the Black Market. This collaboration would foster the freedom of expression Lofaso desired. Black Market is not constrained by one definitive direction and that's the goal. It could start with Dill chips and then Shishitos peppers. Next comes an Korean wings and then the meatballs course. Antonia, the chef who created this delicious menu full of bold flavors is what anchors everything. Throughout her career Lofaso has measured her success by her innate ability to comprehend her audience while staying in line with her personal style. She has been a part of many television shows, including Top Chef Chicago, Top Chef: All Stars and Cutthroat Kitchen Man vs. Child on The Food Network and ABC's Real O'neals. Her talents continue to be recognized in her role as a judge on the CNBC's Restaurant Startup. In 2012 Lofaso was a part of Penguin to publish The Busy Mom's Cookbook 100 Recipes for Quick Delicious homemade Meals and tells the story of her struggles while studying at the elite French Culinary Institute, and at the same time caring for her child Xea. Lofaso believes that all of her achievements are the result of her love of cooking. She is in a position to stay in the middle of this industry by focusing on the kitchen. She is transforming the aesthetic by redesigning chef wear with a focus on style and function by launching her brand Chefletics. Lofaso wants to be true to her vision and customers. She has created Antonia Lofaso Catering to help achieve that.
