Madhuri Dixit

MadhuriMadhuri dixit, a well-known Indian actress, is most well known for her roles in Beta, Saajan, and Hum Aapke Hain Koun ..!'. She started her career in the 1980s and became popular with her part in the film "Tezaab" in which she co-starred with Anil Kapoor who is a veteran actor. Later, she was in the film "Dil" in which she shared the screen space with Aamir Khan. Born to a middle-class household in Mumbai, she started learning dance from a young age. She tried her hand at acting when she was an teen and it was not easy. The majority of her initial films failed. Recently, she played featured in the movie "Gulaab Gang" that was about the struggle and triumphs of women from India. Dixit was nominated for 15 Filmfare Awards. She won eight. She also received the Padma Shri award, India's fourth highest civilian award. She is also well-known for her work in the field of social service.
