She spent the majority of her youth in Bishop's Waltham. At nine she was a member of the Bishop's Waltham Little Theatre Company. Holden was also in TV in three seasons of Kiss Me Kate, starring Caroline Quentin and Chris Langham. She was also participant in three ITV series The Grimleys and Celeb with Harry Enfield episodes. A Boxing Day special Agatha Christie's Marple episode "4.50 From Paddington" which starred Geraldine McEwan as well as John Hannah. In Ready When You Are Mr. McGill by Jack Rosenthal she was in the role of Bill Nighy, Tom Courtenay and Aleha Dixon. Alongside Alesha Dixon, David Walliams and Simon Cowell, Holden is a judge on Britain's Got Talent. In 2006, she was a judge on the show.
